Kenosha Co. deputies dealing with cars in ditches, wrecks

KENOSHA CO. (WITI) -- The Kenosha County Sheriff's Department is urging drivers to stay off the roads until the winter storm begins to back off.As of 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26th, sheriff's deputies had assisted 45 drivers who ended up in a ditch.

One killed in crash involving milk hauler and vehicle in Darien

WALWORTH COUNTY (WITI) -- One person was killed in a crash involving a semi and a car that occurred on Highway 11 east of Old 89 Road in the Town of Darien on Tuesday, February 26th.The crash occurred around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday.Upon arrival, deputies found two vehicles had come to rest in the westbound lane of Highway 11.The two vehicles involved were a westbound 2010 Kenworth semi-truck milk hauler and an eastbound vehicle.Officials say the eastbound vehicle lost control on the snow-covered road and slid into the westbound lane of Highway 11.
