DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- The unexpected death of a 43-year-old Dodge County man is under investigation.Dodge County Sheriff's officials say 43-year-old Michael Soeller was found dead by his landlord, who reported he had not seen him for several days.Soeller lived alone in an apartment at the intersection of Highway 33 and Highway 73 in the Town of Fox Lake.Detectives with the Dodge County Sheriff's Office, and the Dodge County Medical Examiner were called out to the scene.Soeller will be taken to the VA Hospital in Madison for an autopsy to establish the cause of his death.Dodge County Sheriff's officials say they consider this to be an open and active death investigation.No further details have yet been released.Monitor FOX6 News and FOX6Now.com for updates on this story.

DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says 9-year-old Ilan Hurtado from Lindenhurst, Illinios, has died as a result of injuries sustained in an August 15th crash that occurred on CTH A at the intersection or Indian Hills in the Town of Beaver Dam.The Dodge County Sheriff's Office responded to the crash around 4 p.m.The investigation revealed that a Honda hatchback was slowing to conduct a turn onto Indian Hills Trail while traveling south on CTH A when the crash occurred.According to Dodge County Sheriff's Office, a tractor/trailer was following the Honda, but failed to slow down.

DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say Flight for Life had to transfer a man to a hospital in Madison following a crash involving three vehicles that occurred on Tuesday, June 24th just before 7:00 a.m.It happened on State Highway 33, west of Sunset Road in the Town of Oak Grove.Dodge County Sheriff's officials say a westbound vehicle driven by a 19-year-old woman from Mayville, identified as Natalie Stoeckel, crossed the center line and side-swiped an eastbound vehicle.The eastbound vehicle was driven by a 27-year-old woman from Beaver Dam, identified as Amy Lanphier, who was not injured.Sheriff's officials say the westbound vehicle then struck another eastbound vehicle -- driven by a 31-year-old man from Beaver Dam, identified as Jesse Beske.This collision was nearly head-on, and severely damaged both vehicles.Both drivers were injured and pinned in their vehicles and were transported to Beaver Dam Community Hospital after being extracted.The man was later transferred to UW Hospital in Madison by Flight for Life.Sheriff's officials say inattentive driving is believed to be a contributing factor.
Mother accused of OWI: Young children injured after crash Sunday night
DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say a 28-year-old Waupun mother was arrested on Sunday, June 8th -- accused of operating while intoxicated with her children in the vehicle.Dodge County Sheriff's officials on Sunday night, just before 9:00 p.m., responded to a crash on State Highway 68 near Laurel Hill Road in the Town of Trenton.Sheriff's officials say the vehicle that had been traveling eastbound on State Highway 68 failed to negotiate a curve, and lost control -- coming to rest in the north ditch.The 28-year-old driver was uninjured.The woman's children, a four-year-old boy and an eight-year-old girl suffered non life-threatening injuries.The driver was taken to the Dodge County Detention Facility -- and will appear before a judge in the near future.“It is disturbing that a parent would choose to drive impaired with two young children in the vehicle, putting their children’s lives at risk.

Pinned under truck: Man dies in rural Dodge County
DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say a 46-year-old Neosho man was killed early Tuesday morning, May 27th after he became trapped under a vehicle.Just after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Dodge County Central Communications received a 911 call indicating a truck had overturned in rural Neosho -- and the family could not locate the 46-year-old Neosho man who was driving the truck.The man was located pinned underneath the large truck.The man was able to be freed -- and officials began emergency medical services, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.The Dodge County Medical Examiners Office along with the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is currently still investigating this incident.The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.

BEAVER DAM (WITI) -- Dodge County Sheriff's officials say one person was seriously injured in a rollover crash that occurred on Sunday afternoon, May 25th -- and two others suffered non life-threatening injuries.It happened just after 2:30 p.m. on State Highway 33 at Fabisch Road in the Town of Beaver Dam.Sheriff's officials say the vehicle was headed westbound on State Highway 33 when it entered the north ditch at Fabisch Road and began to roll.One of the individuals inside the car was ejected -- and suffered seriously injured.He was flown from the scene by UW Med Flight.Officials say those involved in the crash are males from the West Bend area.What caused the crash -- and whether the vehicle's occupants were wearing seat belts is under investigation.

DODGE COUNTY (WITI) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Department is warning drivers after responding to four injury accidents in a 24 hour period!On May 19, 2014 at 5:20 p.m., an injury crash was reported on Resthaven Road in the Town of Ashippun.A 52-year-old Hartford man was driving a 2001 GMC truck pulling a trailer loaded with mulch.As he was pulling into a private driveway, he struck a 53-year-old female pedestrian with the trailer.The female was severely injured and transported to Aurora Summit Hospital.On May 19, 2014 at 5:33 p.m., another injury crash was reported on State Highway 73 near County Highway DE in the Town of Calamus.A 29-year-old female from Madison was northbound on State Highway 73 driving a 2013 Land Rover when she lost control of her vehicle, crossed the centerline and entered the west ditch.The vehicle stuck a culvert and then rolled.The driver and sole occupant was transported to Columbus Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.On May 20, 2014 at 12:04 a.m., an injury crash was reported on State Highway 175 near Meridian Road in the Town of Theresa.An investigation showed a 53-year-old male from Oshkosh was northbound driving a 1995 Buick on State Highway 175 and failed to negotiate a right hand curve, crossed the centerline and went into the west ditch striking a power pole.The driver and his 43-year-old female passenger were transported to Aurora Medical Center in Hartford with non-life threatening injuries.Another crash was reported on May 20, 2014, at 8:04 a.m. on Town Road MM near Coolidge Road in the Town of Ashippun.A 17-year-old female from rural Neosho was westbound on Town Road MM when she lost control while negotiating a curve and entered the ditch rolling the 2008 Chevrolet several times.The female was the lone occupant and was transported to Aurora Summit Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.“All occupants of the vehicles were wearing their safety belts which was likely the reason there were no fatalities.
